PROJECT BRIEF
Hike and fly has become a common practice in the paragliding community. However, carrying heavy equipment during a hike can be inconvenient and challenging. The objective was to create a system that would lighten the user's load while remaining small enough to be flown down with.
SKETCHES
Sketches were produced to investigate potential methods of transporting gear to the launch site using rolling mechanisms.
PROTOTYPE
Full-sized models were created using paper construction, conventional sewing techniques and components produced through 3D printing. The design can be quickly disassembled and compactly packed for convenient portability.
